This position will assist in managing the day-to-day operations in the Human Resource department. The primary responsibilities will be benefits administration. The generalist will be responsible for applying business knowledge and HR expertise to provide support to operations and HR ensuring efficient and effective services are provided to all internal and external customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Generalist functions as the first point of contact for employees' human resource related issues including payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and labor law compliance

• Payroll administration and HRIS maintenance of Paychex Flex • Serves as the Paychex point of contact to assist employees with any issues in accessing and using the site and app

Benefits Management Responsible for Leave of Absence administration including FMLA, NYS PFL, Workers Comp, Short and Long Term Disability claims Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefits information to employees Assists in annual open enrollment period Wellness Program: including development, administration, coordination and tracking of initiatives · Communication/Relations

Provide a high level of customer service to employees and serve as employee advocate Provides support to company communications Prepares and facilitates annual training Human Resources Administrative Support

HR records and personnel files Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulation Recruitment

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required PHR/SPHR Certification or other related certifications preferred Minimum 5 years as a generalist Knowledge of current State and Federal Employment Laws required Computer proficiency using Microsoft Word/Excel
