In Laives (BZ) we are looking for an:
The IT Network Architect will manage the IT networking system of the Röchling Group and will be responsible for its continuous improvement. The candidate will respond to the IT Platform Global Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Lead the design, optimization, implementation and monitoring activities of Networking/Security and Telecom equipment such as Routers, Switches, IPS/ID, Data Circuits, and Load Balancers
Maintain Network and Security Standards, Configuration Compliance, Patch management, Cert review, and Roadmap planning
Design Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for key network systems
Lead the development of corporate and divisional network and telecom strategy and tactical plans
Set up system documentation and update operational standards and procedures
Guide international support teams
Provide high-level technical support to the operations team
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred), Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience with: systems administration and/or design; managing and troubleshooting VoIP networks; Routers and Switch design and support in a large global environment
Extensive experience in enterprise data center or a multi-site environments and with large remote office routing and switching
Must be able to take a consultative/partner approach with clients and work with minimal supervision on difficult assignments
Ability to lead and manage projects in a global and multi-site organization
Excellent knowledge of English
Cisco, HP, Palo Alto and ITIL certifications are considered a plus
Good communication skills, accountability, proactivity, autonomy in the organization of the workload, ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage critical situations complete the profile.
