Your tasks:

Supervises and coordinates activities of manufacturing employees and manufacturing technicians (at Denver facility) by performing the following duties: (Will be responsible for overseeing 2nd and 3rd Shifts)

Job requirements:

Actively and regularly uses Performance Management in supervising employees.

Actively monitors performance metrics of employees and processes recognizes employee improvement and assists employees to improve performance.

Spends time on shop floor, talk with employees and listen empathetically to their concerns, and provide prompt and courteous responses.

Actively recognizes desired and undesired employee behaviors.

Conducts frequent meetings with employees to provide information and to get feedback.

Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.

Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Maintains time and production records.

Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.

Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Provide training and counseling for employees as necessary.

Coordinates the efforts of all shifts of production by scheduling monitoring and directing manpower and materials to meet department objectives in the most cost effective and safe manner in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMPs)

Adhere to and insure compliance with all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Enforces progressive discipline with employees as necessary including suspending employees from employment and making recommendations for termination.

Follows the official policy for Good Manufacturing Practices as required in the Medical Device Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

Provides feedback and pro-active communication to supervisor, management, and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective operations. Contributes input to management based on knowledge of processes toward process and product improvement efforts of the company.

Provide other department and manufacturing support as requested by immediate supervisor.

Actively participates in the TQM efforts of the Company.

Process administrative matters without problems to maintain up to date records of shift personnel, monitoring performance, attendance, vacation, and disciplinary action.

Performs activities of workers supervised.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises 50 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment in a lead or supervisory position. In those prior supervisory experiences, demonstrated high performance by exceeding expectations, Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office software, company manufacturing, training, and documentation systems. Experience on an organized safety committee. Demonstrated experience scheduling and planning work flows and production for most cost effective and timely operations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Highly empathetic and effective communicator.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply statistical concepts to problem solving situations.
