At our Duncan, SC location we are searching for a:

Process Engineer

Where we need you

Injection Molding Experience Required

  • Able to perform tool change overs, end of arm tooling and process startups
  • Identify root causes of process issues dealing with machines, tools and parameter settings
  • Monitoring processes on all IM machines to ensure stable processes.
  • Maintain top quality of our products, continuous process improvement on all IM machines
  • Improve machine efficiency and utilization.
  • Analyze customer returns to solve process related issues.
  • Training process technicians on proper use of equipment and process settings
  • Training setup technicians on proper use of equipment and machine settings
  • Train Process Technicians and Operators on Customer returns.
  • Work (ipu) with Zone Leader with personnel issues if necessary
  • Optimize set up of injection mold tools and secondary cutters and equipment
  • Work closely with Planning to optimize uptime and change overs
  • Absence coverage for process technicians
  • 5S Activities on-going
  • Projects assigned by Technology Manager or Plant Manager
  • Responsible for setting up “Decouple 2” Process Parameters and Robot Programming
  • Train Shift Technical Teams on new products and on corrections of customer returns / Scrap.
  • Supervise Technical Team activities (e.g.: Unnecessary & necessary parameter adjustments, misplaced Parts in the Cutter, Set up times, all Technical Procedures adhered to….etc.)
  • Mentor, coach, & train all Technical Personnel on Why, How, When changes or correction should take place,
  • Excel spread sheets and other computer skills necessary
  • Able to travel for tooling trial at the tool manufacturer to do process setup and tooling evaluation
  • Sign off of tools based on tooling trials
  • LOP input, follow up and closure of Open point identified
  • Retrofit quotations for equipment
  • Dealing with process equipment vendors
  • E factory and / or TIG skills…savings parameters with appropriate documentations
  • Robot setup, programming and editing of programs both linear and 6 axis necessary
  • Material knowledge pertaining to proper handling, testing and drying system
  • Capital equipment technical specifications
  • Launch support for the region
  • IMM and Press Tonnage calculations
  • CIF and RAC calculations
  • Travel is necessary to vendors and other Roechling plants globally
  • All other duties deemed necessary by your supervisor

  • Knowledge of customer specific requirements (CSR) necessary through advanced training, or work experience or a combination of the two

How to convince us

  • Must have at least 7 years of experience in a process technician, and /or an engineering role in a molding and assembly-manufacturing environment. Supervisory/leadership experience extremely helpful. Experience with “Six Axis Robots a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred + 3 years practical experience or equivalent years of experience in a molding and assembly production capacity or equivalent experience.
