Process Planning Engineer

Where we need you

The process planning develops the process from RFQ-Phase until start of production. H/She is part of the core team of the projects and has contact with other areas (e.g. sales, R&D, procurement, product management, team project members) and customers, suppliers if required. S/he plans and continuously improves the whole production processes according the internal and customer requirements. H/She supports and track the optimization and lessons learned process.
Cooperation, in the quotation phases, with the RFQ team for the definition of costs of new product and their manufacturing process (Make or Buy analysis).
Process analysis, target review, optimization management (OEE, material flow, cycle times, operators, etc.) during production trials and run @ rate.
Definition and planning of the manufacturing process (Flow Chart, Cycle Time, Operators, machines and equipment needed, etc.),
Cooperation in the tool/equipment concept/specifications and identification of generic machine and equipment/automatic facilities (based on preliminary capacity review)
Make and update the PFMEA, in collaboration with the FMEA coordinator and project team
Cooperation with the project team in the evaluation of design risk assessment (D-FMEA), and the realization of control plan and in the definition of special characteristics.
Ergonomics analysis of the working places (Ocra analysis).
Definition and procurement of manual workstation/workbenches and secondary equipment
Monitoring of manufacturing process in serial phases (cycle time, number of operators, ergonomic) in order to improve the performances
Keep update the process documentation (operator work instructions, lay-out) and the lay-out of the plants in case of modification

How to convince us

Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
Previous Automotive Industry experience
Project Management
Plastic materials and plastic processing (injection molding)
Principles in process planning (process flow, layout, equipment) and/or Lean/Six Sigma tools
Experience in production environment
