Regional Technical Specialist
Where we need you
The RTS is responsible for providing technical problem solving knowledge, skills, and abilities to resolve reoccurring, high-value problems with Internal and External Customers, utilizing Lean-Six Sigma principles and technical experience for secondary production processes. The RTS will dispatch to the locations necessary - internally within RAA manufacturing plants, as well as externally with suppliers – to assist the problem solving team on the floor to not only solve problems, but also setup systems and processes that assure the stability of the product or process, as well as directly affect our customers and the financial bottom line
Guide and coach, hands on technical problem solving to other RAA groups (manufacturing plants) related to current/future technology, manufacturing systems, tooling concepts, Capex requirements, capacity planning and other technical requests
Aggressively pursue the reduction of process problems that have a large financial impact (scrap) and customer concerns
Design process improvements alongside RAA manufacturing plants and suppliers that directly impact a large financial gain and customer concerns
Assist the team in establishing systems to maintain success and transform the knowledge received into meaningful action and results
Support other RAA functional groups with expertise
Support Sales, Procurement and RFQ teams with preparing material flows, cycle time analysis, investment costs and determination of necessary project hours for new business and engineering changes
Act as Industrial Engineer for new projects
Support Project Management by attending and contributing in core team and other meetings to ensure successful launch of new programs
Assist in the maintenance of technical specs and data within RANET

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial)
MBA or Master’s in a technical field preferred.

Ability to think outside the box to generate new improvement ideas.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Knowledge of metals, plastics, fabrication and various production & assembly methods is required.
