The primary focus of the Quality Technician is to support the activities of the Quality Department at Roechling – GTP and 321 locations and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements through the Quality Management System (QMS). This individual would report to the Quality Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide shop floor quality support and function as a technical resource for the various departments across the Roechling - GTP and 321 locations (as directed by Quality Manager)
• Assist with problem-solving (PFMEA, containment, root cause/corrective action, disposition, etc.) activities associated with internal and external quality issues
• Conduct and/or participate in internal process and ISO audits to verify the conformances of products and quality management systems as defined by the standards
• Assist in the verification of customer requirements/expectations on high-priority orders
• Provide inspection support for internal and external customers
• Perform quality testing of material for internal and external analysis (if required)
• Communicate quality findings to Quality Manager
• Assist with all aspects of gage management and calibration, including selection of proper M&ME and performing Out of Tolerance (OOT) gage investigations (as required)
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer specifications, industry standards, and quality systems standards, including ISO9001

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree (preferred) or 2 years of experience in a related manufacturing or quality position

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Read, analyze, and interpret procedures, work instructions and customer specifications.
• Interpret and data.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to apply mathematical operations when measuring and inspecting material.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
