We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality raw materials and equipment. This role demands strong analytical skills, industry expertise, and a focus on cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Purchase of raw material, semi-finished product & process optimization

  • Develop Purchasing Department and Requisition Program

  • Find common opportunities with Röchling Industrial NA partner subsidies

  • Price Negotiations, Contract Work

  • Obtaining the best value for all goods to meet a realistic schedule

  • Follow-up or expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery

  • Workplace safety & continuous training & compliance on company policies & procedures

  • Environmental protection in area of responsibilities & efficient energy resource use

  • Management & monitor of warehouse supply & secondary goods

  • Supervise purchase of semi-finished goods (market & inter-company)

  • Release & monitoring of demand based orders

  • Supervise commercial verification & inspection of received goods

  • Compiling & generate supply specifications

  • Vendor evaluation on consistency with ISO9001 & ISO13485 requirements

  • Generate purchase statistics, set benchmarks
  • Develop cost-effective strategies, risk management procedures

  • Conduct & support of project work

  • Coordination with Global Procurement at corporate to leverage global pricing and supply

  • Releasing & monitoring purchase specific reclamations

  • Communicate with Management regularly

  • Implement company policies & guidelines

  • Maintaining the files of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

  • Ownership of Master Control purchasing procedure

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years in supply chain and/or 10 years purchasing & procurement experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of North American Plastics Industry and Market.
  • Excellent negotiation technics
  • Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills
  • ERP system experience & use, MicroSoft Dynamcis preferred
  • Well skilled in various MicroSoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, SharePoint)
