R&D Engineer with Electrical/Electronic expertise (m/f/x)

Where we need you

As a R&D Engineer you will play a central role within our R&D organization, supervising and coordinating research projects focused on the development of new products and processes. This role is specifically centered around electric and electronic topics: powertrain and battery components, solutions for thermal management and functional integration into our plastic components.

Main responsibilities:

  • Product concept development and early-stage feasibility analyses
  • Act as the key point of reference for electronic competence within Advanced Development department
  • Managing assigned applied research projects from technical, economic and timing perspectives, while also coordinating a cross-functional project team
  • Handling project relations with external partners
  • Providing technical and economic project reporting internally and externally (towards customers/OEMs).

How to convince us

  • Degree in a technical field relevant to electrification
  • Prior experience in electronics development, preferably for large-scale automotive applications
  • Project Management experience
  • Good English and either Italian or German
  • Knowledge in some of the following fields is appreciated: automotive development standards and battery/OEM specifications; electric connection and lighting integration in plastics (e.g. IME, IML); electrified automotive powertrains (e.g. motors, power electronics, battery packs); vehicle thermal and energy management strategies; automotive batteries (Cylindric/prismatic/pouch, Li-Ion/SS, influence factors and market trends, aging and abuse); simulation tools (electrical/thermofluid/structural).
